Hi, my name is Svetlana. From early childhood my favorite
hobby was to capture on paper the beauty of the world around me. Every pattern
– whether it was autumn leaves or field with flowers, waves of the sea or even
a scratch on the wall - came to my attention and helped me find more meaning in
the different things around me.
When I started to work with children as an Art teacher I found that it
was easier for my students to begin to draw if there was some basis for it: a
circle or even just a dot in the middle of the paper, a dry leaf or a funny
doodle.
This book is based on such a concept: make a hand- or footprints of your
child or yourself and create a picture. Child's play, right? Well, maybe
not. Look carefully at the contour of the prints and try to find original
images in them.
So...
create, draw, and enjoy!

Art is for everyone…whatever your age or condition. Painting and drawing is a beautiful way of expressing yourself and creating memories. We can see the beauty and creative ideas in anything! Usually, in everyday life, we don’t pay attention to the little things that may be important. If we did, we could see more meaning in many things. That’s what art about – how we can see things.
